How We Generated 2,028 FTDs for a Casino Brand on Meta Across Bulgaria and Bosnia

For this client, the goal was clear from day one: generate real first-time depositors (FTDs) at scale on Meta.

Over a period of 10+ months, we launched and scaled campaigns for the same casino brand across Bulgaria and Bosnia, managing the full acquisition stack end to end — from creative production and tracking to account infrastructure, media buying, and daily scaling.

The result: €200,176 in spend and 2,028 FTDs, with campaigns still active.


The Challenge

This was not an account we inherited after someone else had already validated the offer.

The client had not run Meta ads before. We were the first team to launch and scale campaigns for them in these geos.

That meant building the entire system from scratch:

The objective was not to drive low-quality traffic or inflate top-of-funnel metrics.

On the tracking side, we used Pixel + CAPI + postbacks.

Meta campaigns were optimized around a Purchase event mapped specifically to FTD, allowing the platform to optimize toward actual depositor acquisition rather than weaker events deeper up the funnel.


Campaign Structure

At a high level, the setup looked like this:

  • 3 ad accounts
  • CBO campaign structure
  • broad targeting
  • all placements
  • limited retargeting
  • direct-to-offer web funnel

Creatives and copy were localized by geo and language, with separate offers for each market instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.

This mattered because Bulgaria and Bosnia responded differently, and treating both markets as the same would have limited scale.


Creative Strategy

The strongest-performing angles were primarily:

  • lifestyle-led creatives
  • bonus-driven messaging

To keep performance stable and avoid fatigue, we built a high-volume testing engine and tested/launched 1,000+ creatives per geo over the life of the campaigns.

That gave us room to continuously find new winners, refresh delivery, and scale without relying on a small handful of ads.


Scale Progression

We started conservatively at around €50/day.

As data came in and winners emerged, spend was ramped steadily. At peak, campaigns scaled to around €1,000/day, before later settling closer to €500/day.

This was not a short-term spike.

The campaigns have now been running for 10+ months and are still active.

Bulgaria

  • Approx. total registrations: 23.3k

Performance varied by geo, with Bosnia coming in at a lower FTD CPA than Bulgaria, but both markets contributed to a strong overall acquisition result.
